Ancient Frog App Reviews

Yes the game is absolutely gorgeous, and the concept is an excellent one, but the flexibility of the frogs changes (even within a level) depending on whether the move you want to make is the "right" one or not. Sometimes theyll stretch so far they seem rubber, and sometimes they wont even fully extend a leg. I think the game would be significantly better if the abilities of the frogs remained consistant. Even if different species had different abilities; The exact same frog, who can make a certain move for one turn, should be able to make that same move for another turn.

Love this puzzel game! Beautiful realistic graphics and tranquil surroundings make this a perfect game to relax with for hours at a time.

I almost didnt buy this because of two or three negative reviews and am so glad I did anyway! Tapping the "?" will give you hints to get through the hard steps. Playing the same levels over again to improve my score is just as fun since its hard to remember the solution. And its a gorgeous app!

Truly an amazing game! However, I really wish there was a "sound off" option. The music is beautiful, but there are so many times where I would have wanted to play this game and have been unable to due to my current surroundings. Overall, this is a great game with the graphics that tops the most out there!

Just a guessing game that gets boring quickly. Nice graphics, but thats about it.

The graphics in this game are gorgeous, the sounds are relaxing, but the gameplay is frustrating. Even after playing through 30+ levels I dont have a grasp of the frog will be able to make a move without trying it. It seems like sometimes the frog can do large stretches and other times it cant make a small move. This is why I dont play it anymore. The game is too difficult without being able to visualize what moves are legal without trying them. I played the demo version and thought that Id get used to it, but I never did.

My kids love this game. Wonderfully made and fun to play. Strongly recommend.

Im not a big game player, but I am hooked on this one! Wow, such realistic graphics, movement, and sounds. The frogs even adjust their toes after you move their feet! :-) Charming! Entertaining and progressively more difficult, this puzzle cant be beat--unless the creative genius who developed this comes up with a new theme, that is! :-)

At first its easy but when you keep going it progressivly gets harder.

This game is very simple, but is also almost eerily realistic and a somewhat unique idea with fabulous presentation. Im almost inclined to say that the game has too many puzzles - they do start to blend together eventually. At the same time, its the game that keeps on giving! Might be a little pricey at $5, but the current $1 sale is a no-brainer. At least, the purchase is - the game is very much a brainer. :-)

I am completely amazed at the unique creativity and polished aesthetics of this app. My only gripe (aside from my own ineptness at solving some of the trickier puzzles at par), is that I keep mistakenly swiping the daisy as I try to stretch for my footing. Maybe a double tap would better suit the hint question mark and menu daisy? Thats so nit-picky to really even be called a complaint, but its the only one I have. Stunning work. **EDIT** The Daisy problem was fixed a while back, but I forgot to update my review.

This game starts out so easy, that I wasnt sure I would like it. The amazing graphics kept me going though, and in only a few levels it became a challenging, enjoyable and immensely satisfying puzzle game. The introductory walk through is very thorough, the controls are very easy to master and there is nothing to dislike about this one!

Tried the free version and loved it. Both sound and visuals are stunning. Im a huge fan of the Naturespace audio app, and like their tracks, the soundscape of this game removes you from reality, and places you right in the middle of a lush rainforest. I was going to wait til this went on sale to buy it ($3.99 now), but after reading his blog at the website, I took the plunge. This work of art is a one-man project, and the result of his care and dedication is magnificent. Ive plopped down $.99 cents for many games that were obviously churned out by the dozen. Buying this gives me a good feeling, not just because I love the gameplay, but because supporting talented developers will increase the number of quality apps on the appstore. My only wish is for eventual gamecenter support or achievements. Otherwise, this gem is an absolute must-have for puzzle lovers. **Developer updated to include Gamecenter and Openfeint! Worth every penny. This developer worked very hard on this game, and it is a gem to be had.
